The City of Santa Clarita’s Thursdays@Newhall transforms Main Street in  the Old Town Newhall neighborhood from a bustling retail and dining destination by day, to a thriving arts and entertainment district by night. Every Thursday evening, guests can stop by Main Street to enjoy rotating, free weekly entertainment and nightlife fun. Throughout the years, the Thursdays@Newhall events have been updated and improved, however the brand itself had not been touched for years. In 2017, the City communications team decided to renew its branding so that it would properly reflect the excitement, spirit and liveliness of the event series.
The previous Thursdays@Newhall logo was outdated and static. The new design pops with excitement and adds movement by incorporating photos of actual Santa Clarita residents and performers actively enjoying the event series. The multiple bright colors are more than just fun, they were strategically utilized to be color coded to each type of event under the Thursdays@Newhall umbrella, this was done to ensure the audience could easily match up the event with the night they took place. 
To roll out the new branding, the logo and new design was reflected on all new posters, postcards, canopies, social media posts, and various other printed and digital advertisements.
